day 7 – do you want to get married and/or have kids?

Yes, someday; and probably, someday.
While not that long ago, I was ready for at least the married part, I am not so much so now hah. I do still one day want to get married and settle down, start a life with someone else by my side. I’m not scared of commitment at all.

The kids part is a little different. I’m not opposed to kids or anything, and I’m sure I will end up with bratlings at some point, it’s just that I’m not exactly sure what to DO with the little critters. Being pretty much the only child in my whole family, I don’t have any experience dealing with babies or young children. They’re like aliens to me, and I’m not sure how to communicate with them. So, it’s not that I don’t want to have kids, it’s more that I’m scared of how to deal with them. But yes, I would have kids with someone that I was committed and married to.

day 6 – what are your views on love? do you think it’s real? do you think we only experience one love per lifetime? does everyone have a soul mate?

I do believe that love is real, although it is very hard to put into words exactly what it is, and I’m sure everyone feels love in their own unique way. I suppose one could say that it is a very deep feeling of attachment and caring for another person. Which means, it’s not just that feeling of infatuation that comes from a crush, but what’s left behind after that first intense rush of feelings is gone.

I also don’t believe that we are only able to experience one love in a lifetime. The mind has a seemingly limitless capacity to grow and encompass new thoughts, ideas and feelings so why not too with feelings towards people. We have many friends that we are close with, and those friendships undulate as people come in and out of our lives, and I think it is the same with lovers. You can feel deeply about more than one person.

I don’t particularly believe in soulmates. Just two people who manage to work incredibly well together. There’s no reason that there couldn’t be someone else out there that could mesh just as well, just that the first one found is great enough that you’re content to stay together and stop the search.

day 5 – do you think sex before marriage is okay?

I would say yes (and it would be hypocritical for me to really say otherwise). Not everyone is interested in getting married for whatever reason, and many others cannot get married at all (so should they stay celibate their whole lives? I mean, if you’re supposedly destined for hell anyways, might as well enjoy yourself a little right? ). I do however think that people should communicate with their partners before just hopping in bed. Also, testing, contraceptives and barrier methods!
And having a plan mapped out of what you would do were you to get/get someone pregnant.

Basically, have fun, but stay safe, and really think about the consequences(so no drunken foolishness). :)

day 4 – what is your view on gay marriage?

I think that it should be allowed! Why shouldn’t two people who love each other (and are of an age to realize what they are getting into) get to marry and have the same benefits afforded to “straight”couples? Marriage should not be a religious institution, and thus shouldn’t be governed by religious ideals or laws. Also, two loving parents of the same gender can be just as good as two loving parents of differing genders.

I could go into more detail I suppose, but in the end it all comes down to a very emphatic YES.

day 3 – are you proud to be from whatever country you are from?

Glad to be from America, yes. Proud, eh…not really so much. We are looked up to by a lot of people, and we do give a lot of opportunities not found in most other countries which is great. But, the amount of stupidity/ignorance that comes out of so many people here when they talk about places abroad, or go abroad makes me cringe. >.o’ And then of course there is the feeling that we pretty much just kind of do what we will with other countries as it suits us because we have the global power to do so, while at the same time neglecting citizens that live here in the country.

Utterly disappointing.
